At MyGlassTruck, we know how tricky it is to transport granite, stone, and quartz is. If not handled properly these precious stone materials are susceptible to scratching or chipping. In addition, MyGlassTruck racks, truck bodies, and trailers are manufactured with all the features needed to transport granite and marble. The secret to transporting stone counters and slabs without breakage or chips is proper securement and enough padding. Vibrations from driving over uneven terrain can also leave stone vulnerable. MyGlassTruck racks have the strength, securement systems, and padding to set your stone, granite, and quartz to the jobsite undamaged.

With MyGlassTruck equipment, slabs of stone are cradled against full length vertical and horizontal rubber padding while being held in place by rubber cleats on our T6-Adjust-a-poles. The rubber cleats are fully adjustable to ensure that your payload is secured, no matter the size or shape of your stone slabs. Racks also feature custom extruded T6 aluminum posts and slats make transporting heavy loads possible. Poles are quick and easy to use and easy to service in the field. Multiple sections of stone and granite can be easily stacked on 5” deep padded bottom ledges to reduce the number of trips to the job site. The ledges are uninterrupted by fenders for transporting long counters. MyGlassTruck racks are designed with underbody mounts that tie the weight of rack into the vehicle’s frame to reduce vibration and vehicle wear. Our van and pick-up truck racks have the strength to handle large weight capacities up to 1000 lbs per rack!

Granite tiles and slabs come in different thicknesses. See weight capacity based on square footage below for the following thicknesses of granite:

3/4" (20mm) thick slab: 12.8 lbs. sq. ft. --> Over 78 sq ft per rack

1 1/4" (30mm) thick slab: 18 lbs sq. ft. --> Over 55 sq ft per rack

(All measurements above are based on a 1 sided van rack with a weight capacity of 1000 lbs.)

A removable strap in rack for transporting stone and granite slabs.

The strap-in rack provides a temporary stone slab transport solution. It straps inside the vehicle’s cargo bay using cargo-straps and E-track. It’s ideal for rental trucks, occasional deliveries, and storage. Strong aluminum construction makes this rack light enough to uninstall easily and store when not in use. An optional padded ledge is available (not shown) if you prefer your slab not to rest on the floor.

Each A-Frame rack is fabricated from strong aluminum that minimizes weight to preserve payload capacity. We can also outfit your rack with E-track and cargo straps. An optional padded bottom ledge is available so cargo rests on padding, not the floor.
